This spring we had 500 tons of chicken manure that had been completely saturated with rain water. Our box spreader would just dump this manure out in a mat and our litter spreader would have plugged up right away. Pikrite brought us a new spinner spreader to try. It spread this difficult wet manure in an even 22 ft. pattern that was consistent from the start of the load until it was totally empty. We could not plug it either, even when we tried feeding it fairly fast. I could not imagine a spreader that would have handled that difficult manure better than the Pikrite.

Thank you for allowing us to try your Hydra Ram spreader. We used it to spread wet, sticky layer chicken manure. The spreader was able to break it up and spread it quite evenly and accurately at low rates ranging from two to four tons per acre. I don't know of any other spreader that could have done this job. Also used it to spread some barnyard pack that contained unchopped baled cornstalk bedding. It completely shredded it up and spread an entire load in an even application in less than one minute. The Hydra Ram spreader seems to spread just about anything you want to put on the field. The most versatile spreader I have ever seen!

I like that it doesn't take a lot of power to work this spreader. This spreader has a rate low enough to spread chicken manure with an even pattern. And it spreads wider than a beater type spreader. We used it to spread lime which was less dust than a fan type spreader.

The dust was less for chicken manure also.

Rugged, well designed and versatile. Dry chicken manure or bedded pack, this spreader does an exceptional job. Where it really shines is wet poultry manure, the crap other spreaders can't handle. I even spread 120 ton of lime.
I liked the single axle flotation tires which equals a tighter turning radius.
The best all around spreader that I have ever used and I just turned 50! 

 Almost trouble free!   "The worst problem I had was everyone else wanted to use it when I needed it".

 I know this sounds weird and its not supposed to be this way, however spreading manure was actually a pleasure this spring!

The Pik Rite Spinner Spreader will spread poultry litter and lime an even 15-20 feet wide.  It's not necessary to overlap as much as with other spinner spreaders.  I have used other types of spinner spreaders and side slingers. The Pik Rite has by far the most even spread.
